You're illegal? Then go to Mexico to see a doctor

24 year old Maria Sanchez was admitted at University of Texas Medical Branch's John Sealy Hospital due to a growing tumor along her spine.

Due to the tumor, Maria lost complete movement of her right hand and was under unbearable pain. Doctor's told her that although the tumor was not malignant she would eventually loose the abiliy to walk and would result in death.

She had been treated for six days, had gone through at least one medical procedure and had even signed the papers for the anesthesia that was going to be administered during her scheduled surgery, when the doctors discharged her unexpectedly.

The reason?

She was an illegal immigrant, and if that wasn't enough they told her to go to Mexico to get medical treatment.

Like the bible says:

"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold."
Matthew 24:12
Yup.

  1. I LIKE this. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the the politics of it all, that we grow cold to the plights of others and forget that these are REAL people suffering. And as REAL Christians, it's right to reach out and help them. Before these people were ever illegal immigrants, they were souls. The heartbeat of God is SOULS not POLITICS.

I admire you for what you do for your community, Anali.

  2. Thanks Hanna!

As we all know the souls easiest to reach are the ones in need...
